The Opportunity

The role of Commercial Excellence Manager in the in the Core Diagnostics Division in South Africa, based in the Johannesburg , provides diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers

The Commercial Excellence Manager is responsible for driving sales operations and value creation activities within a region and in close relationship with the cluster leaders as well as the commercial excellence analysts of the clusters.

Ensures improvement of sales force productivity by establishing objective assessments of sales force size, structure, and allocation, while leading productivity-focused initiatives and driving execution of the sales and activity objectives.

What you will do:


•Drive consolidated Area Integrated Business Plan ( IBP) process by:

  • Proactively monitoring the process to ensure the business strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy and process consistency in the regional organization's planning efforts.
  • Coordinates planning activities with other functional roles to achieve the above.
  • Manages all instrument planning forecasts (incl. asset management) and ensures contingency and pipeline strategies are in place.


•Coordinate aForce ( SalesForce ) activities as follows:

  • Drive aForce adoption and ensure training is complete and implemented correctly
  • Ensure aForce is being used effectively to drive achievement of revenue, margin and EP goals.
  • Elevate critical issues & specific needs to global; align global roadmap to Area focus.
  • Recommends revisions to existing reports and/or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
  • Develop and implement programs to improve time and data efficiencies to assist the team in-field with customers which includes the development and execution of Business Reviews.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement.
  • Works closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
  • Assists sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies.
  • Facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.
  • Drive value creation activities by:
  • Identifying needs and create solutions that will be planned and executed within Regions
  • Sales team development:
  • Identifying sales team needs and organizing development program together with the head of sales.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree Business Management OR Statistics OR Financial Management OR related

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 year' experience having worked in a similar position within the Medical Diagnostic, Molecular or Medical Devices industry is preferred.
  • Must be team oriented, analytical, highly organized
  • Experience having work with projects is advantageous.
