Job Summary:
The Rental Finance Administrator is responsible for managing the financial aspects of rental properties. This includes processing rent payments, managing accounts receivable and payable, handling arrears, and ensuring accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in property management finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Process rent payments and manage accounts receivable.
Handle accounts payable, including vendor payments and contractor invoices.
Reconcile banking and maintain accurate financial records via WeconnectU.
Arrears Management:
Monitor and manage rent arrears, following up with tenants to ensure timely payments.
Develop and implement strategies for reducing arrears and improving rent collection.
Work with tenants to create payment plans when necessary and document all communication regarding arrears.
Tenant Relations:
Address tenant inquiries regarding rent payments and account balances.
Provide statements and financial reports to tenants as needed.
Reporting:
Prepare and submit regular financial reports to management.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain an organized filing system for financial records and documents.
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Qualifications:
Matric Certificate or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.
Proven experience in property management finance or a related field.
Strong analytical and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in using WeconnectU.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
