Senior Cyber Security Generalist

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cyber security policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and prioritise potential cyber security risks.
  • Design and implement security controls to protect the company's network, systems, and data.
  • Provide guidance and support to other teams on cyber security issues, such as software development, network architecture, and incident response.
  • Monitor and analyse cyber security threats and trends to identify new risks and recommend appropriate countermeasures.
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement incident response plans and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with thirdparty vendors and service providers to ensure compliance with cyber security requirements.
  • Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Stay up to date with the latest cyber security threats and trends and make recommendations for improvements to the company's cyber security posture.
  • Work in collaboration with cyber security service providers toward a cyber security practice that conforms to Security
- and Privacy by Design principles.

  • Guide business operations teams including Finance, HR, Marketing and Legal around security and compliance requirements.
  • Manage security product assessments.
  • Manage 3rd Party vendor and product vetting assessments.
  • Manage regular internal audits and external pen testing projects, as well as oversee the annual Internal and External GITC and other audits and ontime collection of evidence.
  • Represent security and compliance matters in client request for proposals.
  • Manage Azure Policy and Blueprints to detect, alert and remediate controls that are noncompliant to required regulatory standards.
  • Expert use of runbooks, flows, playbooks and/or logic apps to automatically remediate resources and controls that do not meet security or compliance baselines.
  • Clear Security documentation and diagrams should be standard protocol.
  • Build automation and orchestration of Security infrastructure.
  • Continually improve Azure service with accurate rules and playbooks.
  • Manage security and privacy training campaigns.
  • Identify points of weakness and technical vulnerabilities, and devise solutions to these problems.
  • Manage Governance, Risk and Compliance
  • Translating the regulatory requirements and security framework requirements into business speak and direction, and then into technical requirements with implementation bestpractice guidance.
  • Lead and mentor other members of the Cyber Security team.


 Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in cyber security, with a focus on security operations, threat intelligence, or risk management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in leading a cyber security team.
  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to cyber security.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO, or CIS Controls.
  • Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
