An opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and dynamic individual to join the ITL Maitland Quality Department.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Checking of product and materials in production
  • Ensuring conformance to specification and customer requirements
  • Checking, approving and authorizing new jobs and firstoff for production
  • Recoding and reporting all product quality and system nonconformances
  • Ensuring compliance with the company ISO 9001 Quality Management system.
  • Performing various other necessary quality and process control related duties.
  • To abide by the conditions of employment as set out in a Letter of Appointment or Employment contract.
  • To cooperate in all reasonable requests from persons in authority in furtherance of the Company's policies and procedures.
  • To suggest any ideas on continuous improvement, product quality and cost cutting to your immediate superior.

Health and Safety

  • Ensuring that all aspects of Quality Assurance Procedures applicable to areas of responsibility are implemented and maintained with particular regard to traceability, identification, record keeping and quality standards.

Job Specifications

  • Alert and attentive to detail with high energy levels and able to work under pressure.
  • Speak, read and write English to Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Take measurements and perform basic math calculations to Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Textile and fabric knowledge / training (Advantageous)
  • Quality (Control / Assurance / Auditing / Management) Studies (Advantageous)
  • Willing to work regular night shift on an ongoing basis (alternating 2 weeks on night shift and 2 weeks on day shift or permanently on night shift if practical)
  • Responsible, assertive, reliable and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • A strong mature personality, an even temperament, able to exercise good judgement and able to communicate at all levels.
  • Absolutely committed to meeting customer requirements, achieving customer satisfaction and achieving continuous improvement.
  • Must be able to think on his/her feet

From R7,000.00 per month
