We are looking for a
Risk and Fraud Analyst to join our team

You will be part of our team covering the DACH market.

The team contributes actively to the business expansion in the DACH region, being responsible for strategic projects in the areas of fraud, compliance, and payment processing.


Responsibilities:

  • You will be the dedicated person for all sorts of merchant risk inquiries and tasks related to card and AMPs processing, especially for the DACH region
  • Performing transaction risk monitoring by analyzing merchant traffic regularly to spot fraud patterns and ensure fraud mitigation according to internal policies and card schemes regulations
  • Handling and configuration of fraud and risk scrubbing technology and inhouse risk services to ensure merchant portfolio sustainability and optimization
  • Assisting with ongoing product development of emerchantpay's risk services portfolio, especially for new merchant verticals and new payment methods
  • Provisioning of consultancy on riskrelated topics and emerchantpay's risk services to merchants, including merchant training, development of fraud mitigation strategies, and implementation of best practices in the areas of fraud prevention and payment
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration with other departments across the organization (risk, sales, technical support, product) to ensure the fulfillment of new guidelines and merchant requirements
  • Continuous improvement of underlying data analysis and existing business processes to support our product expansion in new areas
  • Chargeback handling and ad hoc reporting for the DACH region
  • Support with RFI/RFP response compilation for topics related to risk

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience working in a similar position in the FinTech or banking industry
  • Excellent language skills in both English and German
  • Experience with payment data and understanding the basis of the technical payment landscape (transaction flows, payment providers, processors, payment methods) would be considered an advantage
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- analytical background in working and using data and making data-driven decisions

  • Experience with additional data analytics tools is a plus

  • Problemsolving, customeroriented, and innovative attitude
  • You are comfortable working in a highly driven, international team with a substantial degree of autonomy
