Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Responsible for maintaining the nominal ledger, including nominal journals (accruals, prepayments, etc), monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts (including intercompany accounts)
  • Responsible for the month end close, month end journals and the preparation of monthly management accounts in accordance with the company's reporting timeline and format
  • Work closely with the Operational Finance team on issues related to the accuracy of accounting records and financial reporting
  • Preparation and submission of regular VAT, corporation tax any other financial returns for all SA Entities as required by local legislation
  • Preparation of the annual statutory financial statements
  • Liaising with local auditors and assisting in the annual statutory audit
  • Preparation of financial analysis reports as directed by the SA CEO and Group FD
  • Providing input for financial forecasting purposes as directed by the SA CEO and Group FD
  • Participate in the annual budget preparation as directed by the SA CEO and Group FD

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (CA(SA)
  • 5+ years post qualification experience in a finance function
  • 2+ years experience in a Financial Controller or Finance Manager position
  • Experience working with ERP systems (ideally NetSuite)
  • A person who prefers a challenge and managing change, with an analytical skill set
