**Key Responsibilities:**

* Oversee the full financial function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
* Apply IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 accounting standards to ensure compliance and strategic decision-making.
* Prepare financial forecasts and reports to support the Wealth Exco decision-making process.
* Manage financial and regulatory reporting, including submissions to support Group external and regulatory reporting.
* Allocate tax across tax funds and report to Group Tax.
* Implement new product launches, applying technical accounting and strategic thinking.
* Liaise with audit teams and ensure compliance with tax, legislative, and statutory requirements.

**Requirements:**

* CA(SA) qualification.
* Minimum 7 years' experience in a similar role within the financial services space.
* Experience with IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 application.
* Strong understanding of regulatory and tax requirements for life insurance companies and products.
* Experience in automating financial processes and reporting.
* Proven experience in managing controls in financial reporting processes.
