Our Client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Legal administrator to join their team at a leading fiduciary firm.

The Legal Administrator will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to the legal and compliance team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of legal processes and procedures.


Responsibilities:

Legal Documentation:

  • Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of legal documents.

Compliance Support:

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and update compliance calendars and deadlines.

Corporate Governance:

  • Support the preparation of materials for board meetings and other corporate governance matters.
  • Maintain corporate records and ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Act as a liaison between the legal team and other departments within the company.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and conference calls.

Legal Research:

  • Conduct legal research and provide summaries of relevant findings.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the fiduciary industry.

File Management:

  • Organise and maintain legal files and databases.
  • Implement and manage an efficient document retrieval system.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with external legal counsel and regulatory authorities as necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation of responses to legal inquiries.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven 3 years' experience as a Legal Administrator or in a similar role (within the fiduciary or financial services industry would be an added bonus)
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and principles.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel) and legal software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
