Position Summary:

  • Lead a small team in handling daily HR tasks, HR fundamentals, talent acquisition, training, employee engagement, and union relations.

Responsibilities:

  • HR Fundamentals: Support HR programs promoting communication at all levels.
  • High level HR administration, analytics, and reporting.
  • Ensure HR department's quality and responsiveness.
  • Talent Acquisition: Recruitment, onboarding, and exits.
  • Manage Recruitment & Selection process.
  • Training & Development: Support training programs for skills development.
  • Employee Engagement: Drive plant communication processes.
  • Industrial Relations: Support BBBEE activities and champion Employment Equity Plan.
  • Represent the company at DRC and CCMA.
  • HR Administration: Tracking HR metrics and attending plant level meetings.

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Relevant Degree or Diploma in Human Resources.
  • Minimum 5 years' HR Manager experience.
  • 5 years of Industrial Relations experience.
  • Knowledge of CCMA/Bargaining Council processes.
  • Advanced computer literacy.

Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of relevant legislation like MIBCO Main Agreement.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Act professionally and be a trusted business advisor.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
