Our client is looking for a Business Development Lead.

The role is responsible for designing and building financial reports that facilitate business decision-making and enables the business to meet financial and strategic objectives.

Seeking out opportunities for automation through review and redesign of existing processes and reports.

Reviewing and assessing performance data that includes sales, financial and activity reports to monitor and measure business productivity, goal achievement and overall effectiveness of programs.


Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing current and past financial data and performance.
  • Preparing reports and projections based on this analysis.
  • Establishing and evaluating profit plans.
  • Identifying trends in financial performance and providing reasons for improvement.
  • Product profitability, sensitivity, and scenario analysis.
  • Identifying areas of commercial risk and opportunity, through financial analysis and insight, ensuring these are swiftly identified and acted on by the business functions.
  • Prepare financial analyses (including financial models), aimed at understanding the current and expected performance of various products, promotions, and deals.
  • Monthly performance reporting in place for the business with variances highlighted and recommendations made to improve business results.
  • Develop and provide regular reporting and presentations to monitor performance against business case objectives.
  • Review the financial reports, identify, and correct inconsistencies between different data sources, identify trends, provide appropriate commentary, and ensure an appropriate level of insight on the performance of the company.
  • Developing financial models through benchmarking and process analysis to determine the profitability of products.
  • Lead the execution, implementation, and maintenance of BI strategy
  • Responsible for the full lifecycle development, implementation, production support, and performance tuning of Business Intelligence
  • Reporting environments.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand the mechanics/drivers behind team KPIs, with the longterm vision of allowing the business to shift to taking a more proactive approach to outcomes and performance
  • Use these defined mechanics to begin to initiate insights development by improving data capabilities and analysis (including ad hoc queries, calculated tables, automated scripts, dashboards, etc.) providing departments the ability to not only monitor but also deepdive and uncover insights where necessary
  • Monitoring dashboards and data tools provided to the business to ensure continued accuracy and valueadd
  • Ensuring that the data pipelines and general support infrastructure continue to run and operate in the most efficient manner.
  • Work with business owners/stakeholders to understand and translate their functional requirements into technical documentation with clear articulation of definitions, data sources, audience, frequency, business decisions supported
  • Collect business requirements using a variety of methods such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.
  • Identify, measure, and analyse business processes.
  • Full responsibility for managing, analysing, improving, extending, and sustaining the efficiency, quality and compliance of business processes and systems.
  • Define value stream mapping in a specific business area.
  • Measure process wastes and leakages against benchmark standards.
  • Develop innovative solutions and implement robust business process improvements with specific emphasis on automation.
  • Responsible for management of moderate to highly complex special projects across multiple facets.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects.
  • Manage multiple complex initiatives that span multiple business areas and cross functional teams.
  • Define the scope of the project, as prioritised by the Exco.
  • Translate the approved and defined project plan into milestones to execute.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation for all projects.
