They seek an exceptional architect or architectural technologist who can assume the role of technical manager and carry out all the duties of a Senior Architect for all office projects and office functions.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Managing the office's technical production

Managing ongoing projects

Overseeing construction detailing

Administering projects through JBCC

Quality control on sites

Compiling details

Engaging municipalities and other authorities

Meeting with clients, consultants and stakeholders

Co-ordinating information amongst personnel

Designing and developing designs with project personnel

Creating visual content (i.e. renders, flythroughs, presentations etc.)

Compiling technical drawings, specifications and schedules

Measuring on site and supervising construction

Project management

Assist in compiling of tenders

Create, update and maintain company libraries and documents

Provide professional advice to clients and project team

Assist colleagues whenever necessary

Working conditions
Majority of the time in the office with interim field work that requires travel

Working Hours 09:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday

Qualifications/ trainings required
Degree/Diploma

Only applicants with P.R status in good standing with SACAP will be considered

Skills required

Competencies required
Self-management, communicate well, high level of creativity, imagination and vision, critical and analytical thinking with strong problem solving ability, interest in the sciences or technology fields, ability to work well under time and budget pressures

Prior experience
Minimum of years post qualification will be considered

Technical skills required
Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, MS Office, Research and documentation, Presenting

Language skills required
Good spoken, written and reading in English, good comprehension of Zulu

Physical requirements
Good health for traveling

Legal requirements
S.A citizen or individual with work permit
