**Senior Solution Architect Job Description**

**Position Title: Senior Solution Architect**

**Location: JHB Full time**

Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure solutions using Azure, AWS, IoT, and microservices.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring best practices in software architecture and design.

Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into effective, high-quality technical solutions in wireframes and process flows.

Work closely with stakeholders, including product managers, developers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.

Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of solutions through rigorous testing and iterative improvements.

Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including diagrams, flowcharts, and technical specifications.

Ensure that solutions adhere to security best practices and regulatory requirements.

: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to incorporate new tools and techniques into the organization’s architecture.

Mentor and coach junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners.

Design and optimize database schemas, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.

Ensure familiarity with a range of front-end and back-end technologies to integrate diverse systems effectively.

**Required Qualifications**

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in software architecture, preferably with IoT, cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), and microservices experience
- Proficiency in Python and other relevant programming languages.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing services and architecture patterns.
- Experience with IoT devices, protocols, and platforms and hardware devices.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of microservices architecture and design principles.
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Expertise in database design, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Java,.NET).

Proven experience with agile frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Hardworking and focussed

Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Experience with data analytics and big data technologies.
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI frameworks.
- Understanding of networking and cybersecurity principles.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks
