Job Purpose:

Bidvest International Logistics is looking to recruit a Tender Manager to be based at our Greenstone, Gauteng head office.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for the complete management of the process of responding to client-issued tenders, including coordination of internal responses, management of standard content, ensuring regulatory compliance, and on time submission.

The Tender Manager effectively project manages the tender process, and ultimately ensures a high-rate of tender success. Tenders issued include both solicited and unsolicited responses.

The function is also responsible for ensuring BIL's capability overview documentation is created in a way that is customised to specific client context and requirements.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Matric / Grade 12 essential
  • Bachelor's Degree is essential
  • Must be APMP certified
  • Relevant experience in field of expertise
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, analyse, complete and submit and Tenders within deadline in conjunction with Business Development
  • Complete Proposals
  • Deal with Product IV's, Trade Lane, Supply Chain Solutions Engineers, Operational Managers, Legal, Financial and HR when completing Tenders
  • Identify target accounts
  • Work across products in deteriming overall supply chain pricing strategy to win tenders/RFQs
  • Compile a standard Tender response
  • Ensure Tender response collates to what was originally requested
  • Analysis of data
  • General reporting
  • Post submission followup's. Document outcomes and obtain reasons for where BIL was not succesful
  • Post mortems of Tenders
  • Ensure BIL is on Tender lists of all large corporates and State Owned Entities
