Job Summary:

The Restaurant Manager will oversee and manage the daily operations of the restaurant

  • Must have strong general management skills with the ability to manage a complete Restaurant operation, front and back of house.
  • Applicants must be well spoken and fluent in English.
  • Will only consider individuals with strong Restaurant administration knowledge and experience.
  • Must be skilled in cash up reconciliation, stock management, opening & closing procedures.
  • Looking for someone who can work under pressure.
  • Must have strong customer relations, staff management and training skills.

Duties/Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Food and Beverage knowledge
  • Full menu knowledge. Manage and oversee a kitchen.
  • Able to manage the ordering stock
  • Knowledge of stock quality.
  • POS knowledge, daily stocktakes and daily cashup procedures.
  • Staffability to motivate waiters/waitresses.
  • Recognise the importance of customer satisfaction.
  • Attention To detail & lead by example.
  • Ability to handle guestcomplaints & build customer loyalty.
  • Ability to perform the duties of any member of staff on the floor in the event of short staffing or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Complete weekly & monthly stocktakes
  • Be honest, reliable, energetic and results driven.
  • Must be a peoples person, with excellent guest communication skills.
  • Ensures compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous restaurant experience required; management experience preferred.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Stellenbosch,

Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
