COMPLIANCE

  • Assist the GM/OPS manager in improving the overall processes.
  • Review health and safety file on a monthly basis and report out of line items such as expired medicals, missing medicals, training not done, expired permits and the like, ensure that these out of line items are addressed within 72 hours of your findings.

ASSET MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure that all company assets are being well kept, used, well maintained, and not abused, IE:
  • Ensure that hoses are in a good working order and not on the verge of popping.
  • Ensure that hoses are free from trucks moving in and out of washbay
  • Assist the Technical Team Leader in identifying risk areas of potential breakdowns and mitigate these.
  • Ensure that the technical team leader monitors systems for any leaks, risk areas and attend to them ASAP.

CONSUMABLE MANAGEMENT:

  • Ensure that consumables such as soaps are well maintained and used in accordance with the set Standard of Micon Water,
  • Ensure that no pilferage of soaps, chemicals occur.
  • Plan and forecast consumable usage such as brooms, cloths, sponges etc.

HR:

  • Monitor weekly ERS clock reports and reports any out of line clocks, abuse of overtime and nonapproval to be at work.
  • Monitor and effectively plan the roster in conjunction with the On-Site Operations managers to ensure effective planning of manpower on site without having overtime occur.
  • Attain approval from GM/OPS Manager for any potential overtime that will occur and ensure that we communicate to the team that time off in lieu of will happen.
  • Assist the GM/OPS Manager in issuing warnings, MSA's
  • Assist in the employment process of interviewing, collating the administration of paperwork, submit to GM for review and approval prior to having them come to site.

PROCEDURES & PROCESSES

  • Ensure all procedures are adhered to:
  • 1st of each month a monthly stock take of PPE and Soaps MUST be reported to GM/OPS Manager
  • Ensure that all procedures implemented are maintained.

REPORTING:

  • Collate weekly client reports on a Monday by no later than 12:00 for all sites, and submit to GM/OPS Manager for review and approval
  • Report all out of line items such as soap usage not inline with the company procedures.
  • Ensure that the on site OPS Managers implement their score cards to their respective team leaders and report out of line items of 95% or less.

TECHNICAL:

  • Ensure that the technical team is dispatched to all P1 Critical calls within 30 minutes, P1 indicates that the washbay operations have stopped and cannot continue
  • Ensure that P2 calls are attended to within 6 to 12 hours, P2 calls are items related to potential breakdown that can affect the washbay operations
  • P3 calls are to be attended to within 12 to 36 hours and relates to matters that could eventually affect washbay operations
  • Ensure that you accompany your Technical Team Lead to sites, and have him always check all equipment, tidy up any potential risks, report any risks and suggest improvements for the washbay to the GM/OPS Manager to review with the CEO for Capex improvements.

SITE VISITS:

  • All sites are to be visited at least one to twice a week, this is nonnegotiable.
  • A score card will need to be completed measuring:
  • Bay Cleanliness
  • Staff compliance
  • Attendance
  • Teamwork
  • Morale
  • Overall compliance
  • Wash compliance.
  • Safe working procedures
  • PPE Compliance
  • Washing process
  • Client specific washing processes adhered too
  • Rims, Tanks and Tires clean
  • Fridges clean (Client specific)
  • Loading hatches clean (Client Specific)
  • Truck cleanliness and client feedback
  • Soap usage, consumption VS quality of washes.
  • Should the bay NOT score a minimum of 95%, a performance discussion MUST be held with the onsite operations manager and team leaders and documented accordingly. Should there be consistent scores of less than 95% on the same onsite OPS then a performance management program must be issued.
  • A site visit includes:
  • Engaging with all on site staff to ascertain their positions and mindsets.
  • Engaging with the team leader to ascertain how he manages team, what we can improve, what they want to achieve and what their strengths are, who their problem team members are.
  • Engaging with the onsite OPS Manager to determine how things are going on site, ascertain risk areas, improvement areas and determine how they manage their stock.
