Job Description:

MISSION
Manage the deployment of the product offers in the Territory according to the G2M plan.

According to the Territory' commercial launch agreement, execute the marketing mix that addresses the target segment needs to extract full value of the product offering.

Drive stakeholder management cross functionally to guarantee end to end customers/employees' experience.

MAIN ACTIVITIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

B2B Operational Marketing Management

  • Operational Marketing Manager (OMM) is responsible for the operational execution of the Go to Market (G2M) Strategy.
  • Support, identify gaps, and create customized plans to create a drive the G2M strategy
  • Lead by example, communicate clear expectations and set smart objectives. Provide ongoing feedback, balance commitments and priorities of individuals vs the company stakeholders in achievement of the G2M
  • Strong Collaboration with the technical team (PCMs & CES) ensuring new products and services development aligns with market needs. Tailors marketing material to reflect the segment and vocational needs to lead to segment growth
Marketing Metrics

  • Analyzes data and deliver summaries on root causes to understand effectiveness and recommend solutions as well as provide insights to evaluate the marketing strategy for the segment
  • Establish a Monthly Business Review (qualitative and quantitative) for the segment to track results relative to the segment. Execute a monthly transversal reporting.
  • Own the ongoing analysis, accumulation of market knowledge and country diagnostics commensurate with the role of Business Owner of the Segment (volumes, SOM, competitive landscape)
Deployment Management

  • Participates in the review of marketing activities using established measurement criteria.
  • Implement latest offers (product launches/services), monitor and promote existing offers
  • Engage Sales Force in the launch execution of latest offers and provide corrective measures as needed through the steering process, perform analysis and present recommendations to Senior Staff.
  • Execute new product/service launches with excellence working closely to close all gaps, clearly define supply parameters and market sentiment in close partnership with the Segment Manager,
  • Identify opportunities and initiatives to drive sales with the sales teams via high ROI campaigns and initiatives
  • Explain customer value drivers and how they relate to differentiated segment value offerings to capture pricing advantage, brand, portfolio, etc.
  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness off our marketing activities, their impact on the organization's performance, adapt and improve them as needed.
Customer Value Management & Articulation


Co-develop compelling narratives and benefit visualizations that to empower the sales teams to tell wholistic stories which clearly articulate the complete value proposition (People, Profit & Planet) and increase customers willingness to pay more for our brands.

Build and drive a deep organizational understanding of pricing trends/ dynamics across SSA, especially for key competitors and where to play markets with key stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply & Logistics and Customers.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree

An advanced degree in marketing or business is preferred

  • 3 years of well-rounded marketing or business development experience in the South African or SSA region
