Reddford House Northcliff is situated on the affluent Northcliff Ridge and is surrounded by the upmarket, leafy northern suburbs.

The Early Learning School (ELS) and the Junior Preparatory follow the Reggio Emilia inspired philosophy sharing an impressive piazza to exhibit the children's work.

Professionally designed interiors in candy colours enhance the Reddford House vibrant and joyful educational approach and experience. All classrooms open out onto playgrounds and play areas. The ELS classrooms boast en-suite toilet facilities for each stage.

The striking two storey Senior Preparatory and College buildings feature well-equipped classrooms including performing and creative studios for dance, music, drama and art.

The campus includes ample sport fields for soccer, rugby, cricket and athletics, as well as courts for tennis and netball.

The next phase of building and investment includes a swimming pool.

ROLE SUMMARY:
The position of College Secretary/ Receptionist encompasses many roles.

Generally, these roles can be categorized under the following 4 broad areas of responsibility:

Reception Interfacing with Students & Parents Finance Other RECEPTION Welcoming visitors to the College and redirecting them to requested person / venue in the College or administration wing.

Keeping reception area and piazza neat and tidy. Answering phones and taking messages / passing on information / emailing messages to staff. Forwarding emails that come to reception email address on to relevant staff members. Signing for any deliveries and distributing post to relevant members of staff /departments. Receiving and distributing magazines/newspapers. Liaising with staff regarding orders / deliveries / collections. Receiving prospective students/ parents/ staff to the College. Keeping an emergency contact list and procedures updated in Reception File. Assisting with large Public Relations events such as Open/ Information sessions. ADMINISTRATION AND CORRESPONDENCE Printing and emailing documents as requested by staff. Printing of certificates and programmes for school functions. Assisting the Academic Head with IEB-related administration such as arranging IEB deliveries etc. Arranging teaching staff travel arrangements for conferences and workshops. Assigning telephone and printing codes for new staff. Checking cleaning and kitchen supplies weekly, ordering as necessary and handing out supplies to cleaning staff. Checking stationery cupboard weekly and ordering as necessary. Checking medical supply cupboard weekly and placing orders through the Chemist. Reporting faults to service providers including Nashua (phones and copiers), Electricity and Water departments. Managing the booking of buses for outings, sports fixtures, excursions etc. INTERFACING WITH STUDENTS AND PARENTS Making telephone calls to parents on behalf of students. Managing the collection and return of Lost Property. Writing out exit forms for students leaving school early.

Controlling the parking decals for parents and students – this involves receiving requests from students to park on the school campus.

Managing the Sick Bay – tending to students who are injured or are unwell; tending to wounds / injuries; keep an eye on students in the sick bay and providing TLC to sick children; keep sick bay area clean and tidy.

Contacting the parents of sick or wounded students.

FINANCE Liasing with suppliers for invoices; Sending through PO numbers to vendors; loading payments on JDE; following up on payments/ proof of payments sent to suppliers.

OTHER Due to the dynamic nature of any school other responsibilities and functions may be delegated by the Head of the College to the College Secretary/ Receptionist to assist in the operational efficiency of the College.
