We are recruiting a Sales Representative to be based in Johannesburg.
As a Sales Representative, your role revolves around creating and closing new sales opportunities to drive business growth.

You will engage in various activities, including cold canvassing to generate new business, establishing client needs, and building strong client relationships.

Additionally, you will explore opportunities with existing clients. Gathering and organising client information in a database is a vital part of your responsibilities. You will conduct device demonstrations to potential clients and prepare pricing, presentations and quotations for upgrades and new devices.

Responsibilities:

Prospecting for New Business:

Conduct market research to identify potential target clients or industries to pursue new business opportunities.
Attend industry events or trade shows to establish connections and explore potential business prospects.
Develop a pipeline of future sales opportunities.

Sales:

Conduct new business presentations and meetings to showcase products or services and explore potential partnerships or sales opportunities.
Prepare pricing, presentations and quotations for all products and services.


Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and in full to facilitate the seamless opening of new accounts and adjustments to existing accounts.

Ensure a consistent and active engagement with new clients throughout the entire implementation process, until all products and services have been successfully deployed and the first invoice has been issued and paid.

Reporting:

Collect and organise sales data, including revenue, units sold, and customer information.
Analyse sales data to identify trends, patterns, and insights to inform sales strategies and decision-making.

Data Management:

Gather and organise client information.

5. Project Documentation and

Reporting:

Maintain project briefs, with all up-to-date client instructions and notes.

Maintain client folders with all client presentations.

Day-to-day activities:

Conduct daily check-ins with the Head of Sales

Conduct weekly check-ins with the Sales Project Manager

Follow up on all new client implementation and installation status

Follow up on all new client account opening status

Prospecting

Cold calls

Sales meetings

Preparing client presentations, quotes, and project briefs

Previous experience in a Software, IT systems, or Access control sales position will be beneficial.

Building rapport and establishing long-term relationships with customers.

Remuneration:

Basic salary, sales commission, fuel allowance, phone allowance, and vehicle allowance. The position requires travelling to clients in the designated area of Johannesburg.
