JOB SUMMARY


The Sales Analyst - National Sales South Africa provides dedicated reporting and analysis support to the South Africa National Sales Team.


SCOPE / BUSINESS CONTEXT / CANDIDATE PROFILE

Scope:


The position's primary function is to provide support to the National Sales Team South Africa in all areas of analysis and reporting to ensure that account strategies are executed and market share and revenue growth is maximized.

The role may also provide centralized pricing support to hotels participating in the National Sales structure.

Full engagement and interaction with Marriott Pricing and Account Services

Business Context


The role will cover all reporting and analysis requirements for the National Sales Team South Africa to ensure high performance levels are maintained and by performing activities designed to enhance the day-to-day business flow between Marriott International and its clients.

The role will support the goal setting process within South Africa and provide regular updates on performance. The role will provide support for Golden Circle and Top Performer and provide regular updates on performance. The role will monitor performance to target by individual and combined team members and provide hotel specific data reporting.

Specific areas of responsibility include:

  • Analysis & Reporting
  • Data Analysis MRDW / ATR / SFA / Vision / Client Reports as required
  • MI Sales Goals Uploading and running monthly
  • Acquiring of Smartsheet data from hotels monthly
  • Cleaning of Group data (assigning of associates to bookings) and sending pipeline reports timeously (weekly & monthly)

Goal Setting:

  • Work with the Director of National Sales South Africa to complete the annual goal setting process and ensure it is aligned to the needs of the business as well as completed in a timely manner
  • Provide regular updates on performance to target
  • Work with the Director of National Sales South Africa to complete Top Performer and Golden Circle goal setting and monitoring
  • Provides support for the quarterly and annual bonus tracking and monitoring

Reporting:

  • Provides all reporting requirements as outlined by the Director of National Sales South Africa including but not exclusive to:
  • Hotel specific account targets and production tracking
  • Quarterly, monthly and annual individual and team performance
  • Hotel and owner dashboard reviews
  • Data for hotel facing newsletters and updates
Experience

  • Working knowledge of hotel operations including sales, reservations, revenue & others
  • Working knowledge of customer buying channels, specifically, GDS, wholesalers and internet
  • Knowledge of Marriott corporate culture, resources and organizational structure, policies.
  • Complete knowledge of National Sales functions and organizational structure and ability to be a resource to others
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, as main contact with internal and external customers, vendors and travel partners on multiple organizational level is necessary
  • Systems knowledge requirements: advance knowledge of all Microsoft Office products; working knowledge of Marriott business systems an advantage
