Tender Administrator-Water and Wastewater

Background:


The prospective employer is an engineering company based in Pretoria East that focuses on the management, operation, maintenance, construction, refurbishment and upgrade of water and wastewater treatment plants.

The employer has a CIDB rating of 9 in mechanical engineering, civil engineering and electrical engineering


The role in question is for Tender administrator who is motivated and can cope with heavy workloads, tight deadlines where work can occasional run into late hours.

The work is based in Pretoria East.

Requirements:

  • Matric essential
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Word and Outlook

Experience in tendering for construction opportunities of CIDB rating 7ME,7CE and 7EP and higher:

  • Experience in general office administration
  • Great attention to detail and good time management skills
  • Well presented, articulate, assertive, and confident
  • Mature and professional demeanor
  • Work independently and as a Team player

The Job:

Reporting to the Project and Engineering Manager

  • Prepare a compilation of final bid documents and arrangements to deliver these documents to the client within tight tender deadlines
  • Coordinate the detailed content or requirements to be included as part of the tender documentation with the tender team members
  • Manage and Participate in the tender process from receipt to delivery
  • Transfer information for the bid submission by writing accurately and neatly


Tender sourcing
  • Utilize tender portals to identify opportunities in water and wastewater industries.
  • Attend tender briefings
  • Combine all the necessary documentation and review the formats to ensure compliance with tender requirements
  • Ensure that all documents are accurate, up to date, signed and provided in a timely manner
  • Identify certificates requested for each tender, specific submission requirements and ensure compliance
  • Ensure bid and proposal documentation is formatted, collated and presented in a professional manner
  • Manage the filing (hard copy and electronic) of all documentation relating to tenders
