A company based in Midrand is looking for an immediately available Finance assistant.

Skills and requirements:

  • Finance degree
  • Excellent knowledge of Sage Evolution
  • Experience in a similar role

Duties:

  • Creditors:
  • Processing of AMS invoices and preparation of payment schedules
  • Preparation of monthly creditor reconciliations for both companies
  • Debtors:
  • Allocation of debtor receipts
  • Loading of payment packs for state entities on a regular basis & ensure timeous submission
  • PAT report and RSA data report ensure timeous submission
  • State transactions report
  • State deliveries report
  • Insurance:
  • Submitting monthly marine stock declaration to RBIB
  • Submitting monthly car hire report to RBIB
  • Reviewing and analysis of monthly premium breakdown
  • Fixed assets:
  • Creation and maintenance of the fixed asset register
  • Capturing of additions and disposals
  • Calculation of depreciation journals
  • Reconciliation to the GL
  • Expenses:
  • Printing and distribution of statements
  • Analysis of expenditure travel allowance fringe benefit for payroll purposes
  • Follow up on outstanding slips and statements
  • Submission of expenses for payment on a monthly basis
  • Analysis of fleet per rep to be compiled and sent to CFO and CEO monthly
  • Analysis of expenses per rep to be compiled and sent to CFO and CEO monthly
  • Foreign Payments
  • Preparing documents for foreign supplier payments
  • Reporting:
  • Assisting with monthly management reporting
  • Ad hoc:
  • Filing of all documents
  • Archiving of older documents when required
  • Ad hoc admin and reception duties when required
  • Assist with audit requirements
  • Assist with Budgets
  • General finance duties
