Requirements:

  • Grade 12 qualification
  • A minimum of 5+ years of related procurement experience including purchasing, and/or planning
  • Work experience in a Petroleum/Production environment beneficial
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to multitask and deadline driven
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and purchase local stock using in-house systems (HEAT & Odoo)
  • Forecasting likely levels of demand for related stock
  • Ensure purchase oder system parameters are maintained by monitoring minimum, maximum, safety and current inventory levels; making recommendations to management for adjustments to levels
  • Process requisitions and place orders with suppliers based on all areas of procurement on business needs with extra focus on HVAC/Refrigeration
  • Process and generate orders as required and maintain supporting documentation
  • Ensure the receipting of stock by stores
  • Ensure that required costings are received from suppliers, check pricing and lead times and obtain the necessary approvals
  • Follow up on all purchase order's status
  • Keep the purchase order system updated with any supplier pricing and/or lead time changes
  • Sourcing new suppliers, negotiate pricing and payment terms
