ABOUT OUR PATIENT SAFETY TEAM


You will be part of a small and well-functioning team of pharmacovigilance professionals and at the same time interact and collaborate with other functions across the company.

What you'll do:


As a Senior Patient Safety Associate, you will be an integral member of our dynamic Patient Safety team, bringing products to patients.

Reporting to the Patient Safety Manager you will have an opportunity to contribute to all aspects of the local pharmacovigilance system.

This includes representing Patient Safety in cross functional project teams, monitoring Organized Data Collection Programs (ODCP) and keeping oversight of third-party partners, and liaising with our case processing team.

You will be integral in ensuring compliance with AstraZeneca and regulatory requirements for South Africa and the African Cluster.

Essential for the role

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (Pharmacy/Medical/Science).
  • Significant relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of local and global pharmacovigilance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Organized Data Collection (ODC) programs, including patient support and access programs, market research, digital and social media activities.
  • Proactive and collaborative approach, agile mindset and an ability to work autonomously.

Desirable for the role

  • Broad range and level of exposure to various aspects of a local pharmacovigilance system.
- >2years experience in pharmacovigilance in South Africa and/or Sub-Saharan Africa.

  • French language proficiency would be advantageous.
