The purpose of the Legal Administrator role is to assist the Group Legal Manager with all legal administration in terms of collating documentation, briefs, letters and other general administration duties.

Role and ResponsibilitiesCollections – involvement in collections process including facilitating the signature of Acknowledgement of Debts and subsidy applications.

Collation of supporting documents for claims being made and sending Letters of demand;General admin – maintaining manager's diary, filing of documentation, arranging meetings and catering when necessary;Ability to write cogent letters and handle correspondence;Organisation and collation of paper and electronic files;Legal admin – preparation of briefs and bundles for attorneys and advocates;Administration around reporting deceased estates to the Master's office and working with the appointed administrator or executor;Assistance with claiming from the Executors of deceased estates and monitoring whether estates have been lodged at the Master's office;Administration around selling properties – Including interacting with sellers, estate agents, conveyancers, arrangement of electrical compliance certificates; Collation of documentation surrounding the sale.

Preparation and collation of reporting and compliance documentation to the Department of Social Development and the Non-Profit Organisation directorate;Preparation of forms for authorization for the National Lottery Board prior to the raffle draw and reporting thereafter.

Liaising with representatives of the lotteries commission;Assistance with the maintenance of company secretarial documentation;Assistance with the organisation, set-up, catering arrangements, advertisement and invitation to general meetings held from time to time;Liaising with parties and stakeholders including residents, employees, managers, clients and Governors of the Chev.

Qualifications and Education Requirements 1. Grade 12

  • Diploma in Administrative and Secretarial Procedures (advantageous)
