Synopsis:


We are in search of a diligent and skilled Duty Manager to join our team and oversee our Accommodation operations in the beautiful city of Stellenbosch.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead a team in delivering exceptional guest experiences and upholding impeccable standards in hospitality.


Responsibilities:

As the Duty Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking charge of all aspects of our Accommodation operations, including administration, reservations, marketing, upkeep, and housekeeping.
  • Leading and motivating a team of housekeeping and reception staff to ensure consistent delivery of topnotch guest experiences.
  • Maintaining a strong presence among guests and staff, managing checkins, organizing guest services, and facilitating dining arrangements.
  • Monitoring financial performance indicators such as revenue, expenses, and inventory management.
  • Responding promptly and proactively to guest feedback and reviews to enhance overall satisfaction.
  • Coordinating maintenance efforts to preserve the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the property.
  • Providing ongoing training and development opportunities to team members to ensure they meet and exceed service standards.
  • Facilitating clear communication channels between the Accommodation department and all relevant stakeholders.
  • Setting and striving to achieve predetermined targets for accommodation bookings and revenue generation.

Requirements:

  • An energetic individual with a background in accommodation management or relevant qualifications.
  • Proficiency in property management systems, preferably with experience using OPERA.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities and effective people management skills.
  • A genuine commitment to prioritizing guest satisfaction and crafting memorable experiences.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the hospitality sector.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have own reliable transport.
