A Luxury Tour Operator is looking for a SENIOR SAFARI SPECIALIST

Location:
Cape Town/Hybrid

  • Grade 1
  • A tertiary qualification in Travel & Tourism/Hospitality
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in, and knowledge of East Africa safari sales or have a proven track record in safari sales to Southern Africa (Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa)
  • Must have previous experience in a retail sales role for an African inbound operator
  • Must have solid experience tailoring mid to highend tailormade safaris
  • Must have excellent sales & customer service skills and the ability to close a sale and upsell
  • Must have exceptional communication skills (written & telephone)
  • Have a service delivery mindset and a strong customer service focus
  • Be targetorientated and experienced in delivering results in a performanceoriented and fastpaced sales environment
  • Have strong administrative and organisational skills with great attention to detail with a desire for continuous improvement
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks
  • Have a proactive mindset, a cando attitude and meticulous attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to work independently, in a smaller team setup and work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral, with proven English literacy
  • Ability to work under pressure without compromising accuracy
  • Reports to the Director
A full-time position, split between working from home and the company's office in Cape Town.

Salary:
DOE + commission

Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • East African safari sales: 3 years (required)
- tailoring mid to high-end tailor-made safaris: 3 years (required)
