Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Cash Office Administrator in the retail Steel& Hardware industry
- Solid understanding of cash handling procedures and accounting principles
- Proficiency on Syspro and MS Excel
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to resolve issues independently
- Knowledge of inventory management practices in a retail environment
- Familiarity with safety and security measures to protect cash and assets
Responsibilities:
- Handle all financial transactions and cash management
- Process sales transactions, refunds, and exchanges accurately and efficiently
- Maintain and reconcile daily cash registers and prepare reports for management
- Monitor and manage petty cash, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to policies
- Conduct daily cash reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure smooth and accurate cash flow during peak hours
- Maintain and update financial records, including sales data and banking information
- Assist with inventory management and conduct regular stock audits
- Provide exceptional customer service and address customer inquiries related to payments and refunds
- Follow security protocols to safeguard cash and valuables at all times
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting
