Administrator (Purchasing) - Johannesburg
Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for an admin professional who has a strong purchasing background. Our client is seeking someone who is strong and has a punctual and meticulous personality.
Key Performance areas:
1 Purchasing and supplier performance evaluation.
2 Source and purchase foreign and local goods and services.
3 Monitor and minimize effects of custom duties and clearance of goods.
4 Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures.
5 Liaise with IT and Finance Director to integrate purchasing into MRP system.
6 Develop and authorize alternative vendors, with Plant Manager in authorization.
7 Evaluation of the performance of all suppliers.
8 Complete various standard purchasing responsibilities.
9 Send out purchasing requisitions to potential suppliers for quoting.
10 Collect quotes and issue purchase orders.
11 Deal with delivery paperwork and transport.
12 Match deliveries with orders and deal with returns.
13 Asist with any reasonable request by your manager.
14 Raise overhead purchase orders.
15 Report all unethical practices.
