Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Must have a Postgraduate Degree (Masters or equivalent) in Environmental Science
  • A minimum of 10 years ESG professional and technical experience will be required
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), relevant ISO standards and EHS Management Systems
  • Experience in the chemical industry is essential
  • Risk Management exposure is required for this role
  • Must be proficient in MS Office packages
  • Developing, implementing and sustaining continuous improvement strategies, systems and programmes that drive cohesion and compliance throughout the Group, ensuring a companywide approach.
  • Overseeing group reporting requirements monthly, quarterly, and annually to address sustainabilityrelated reporting requirement.
  • Managing and implementing a strategic sustainability framework with measurement of targets/commitments and key performance indicators aligned to the business.
  • Ensuring effective policies, standards and systems are in place and effectively implemented to provide and maintain the highest level of environmental and sustainability strategies.
  • Facilitating environmental incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Monitoring and managing environmental compliance requirements.
  • Managing and leading the Groups sustainability drive and provide oversight on critical elements.
  • Leading and facilitating the assessments.
  • Managing the sustainability risk mitigation measures.
  • Monitoring and reporting E&S performance and trends relating to leading and lagging indicators.
  • Measuring and reporting such to achieve continuous improvements of performance.
  • Overseeing the management and use of an integrated reporting system.
  • Participating in and managing an internal E&S communication forum to share learnings and improve performance.
  • Managing the Groups environmental reporting and voluntary disclosure mechanisms like CDP, ISSB, TCFD, etc.
