What you can expect


The successful incumbent will take full ownership and be responsible for all back-office and P2P processes applicable to the specified low complexity business unit.


Duties will include the following:

  • Ensure a customer focused business environment, taking BASF ́s business interests into account
  • Purchase Order alignment with customer demand and subsequent placement
  • Follow up and stock management with intercompanies as well as thirdparty suppliers
  • Effective management with S&OP Demand Planner to make sure that material in country (on stock) is enough for a 3month rolling customer order management
  • Sales Order placement and follow up to ensure that customer expectations are met continuously
  • Reporting information and deadlines to be adhered to by relevant Business unit
  • Process nonconformance with relations to the OTC and P2P process
  • Effective participation in RCA for incident management & process improvement
  • Customer registration and material extension on MDG, knowledge capturing and sharing with relevant stakeholders
  • Interaction and cooperation with relevant internal interfaces / service units and external parties
  • Keep active communication with customers (including face to face meetings with the external sales team)
  • Effective back up and support to the Internal Sales Officer Team
  • Drive operational efficiency with regards to all audit finding and recommend implementations
  • Cooperation with Sales Support Facilitator on all sales and logistics related projects
  • Manage medium term projects relating to Supply Chain within Southern Africa

What we expect

  • A University degree in business, logistics & supply chain or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years professional work experience with progressive and responsibility relevant to customer services & supply chain issues in Southern Africa Markets
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in SAP
  • Familiarity with operational experience in global supply chain management, business process improvement, and project management
  • Work experience in Sales and Supply Chain
  • Exceptional Customer Relationship Management
