OT****Job Description: Our client, a mining services company, is seeking a Managing Director for Africa operations who will provide strategic leadership that will ensure the continuous supply of raw materials and finished goods to enable the global growth agenda in all markets.

Lead a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, customer focus and service and encourages individual integrity and maintain a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining and motivating a diverse group of top-quality high performing employees at all levels.

**Responsibilities: - Develops and ensure execution of the group business strategy aligned to the company strategy, innovation, transformation and corporate citizenship goals and leads the execution of proactive internal and external customer service excellence strategies and enable global scalability.

  • Responsible for achieving sustainable growth, profitability, cash flow and other business goals and objectives for Safety, Health, Environment, Risk and Quality; Human Resources; Supply Chain; Production; Operations and Finance and Marketing functions.
  • Provides strategic direction and leadership and oversees the daytoday operations for the departments which services the African Operations.
  • Responsible for maturing the people, process and technology capabilities and measurement, reporting as well as continuous improvement, ensuring efficient, effective, timeous, consistent, predictable and reliable quality outputs and services.
  • Provide strategic leadership that will ensure the continuous supply of raw materials and finished goods to enable the global growth agenda in all markets.
  • Leads a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, customer focus and service and encourages individual integrity and maintain a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining and motivating a diverse group of topquality high performing employees at all levels.
  • Ensure execution of a governance, risk and compliance frameworks for Production, Supply Chain, HR, SHERQ, Marketing and Africa Operations including policies, processes and procedures that are aligned to the company and group.

Requirements:
Qualification and Skill**_

  • Post Graduate degree in engineering, accounting, economics or related qualification.
  • MBA / MBL or related postgraduate business management degree.
  • Project Management certification.
  • 7 to 10 years executive leadership level
  • 5 years or more experience as a senior role in production and/or manufacturing and/or engineering business
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and executing strategies and business plans.
  • Exposure in managing a multinational/global business.
  • Experience in quality assurance and continuous improvement management.
  • Proven people management experience and managing high performance diverse teams.
  • Experience in governance, risk and compliance management.
