Main purpose of the job To coordinate, oversee quality data capturing, monitor and evaluate district performance data, including the development and implementation of standard operating procedures, data capturing supervision to assist in strengthening the monitoring and evaluation system.

Key performance areas - Health facility field visits - Data Management & Reporting - Data Quality Assurance - Staff Management - Attend and participate in District Data Review Meetings - Capacity Building - Participate in Research/Generation of Information Products - Self-management and performance ownership - Manage data in compliance with POPIA. - Perform other duties aligned to the role as assigned.

Required minimum education and training o Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Public Health, Health Informatics, Social Sciences, Development, Health, or similar field required.

Minimum work experience o At least 4 years' relevant experience in field implementation and management of M&E in HIV related programs for public, private or NGO sector.

Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities o Presentation skills and data visualization. o Post Graduate Qualification in Information management, Monitoring & Evaluation, Data management or Information systems. o Previous PEPFAR and/or HIV/TB project related M&E experience. o Extensive knowledge and experience in the South African Public Health Information Management Systems (WebDHIS, TIER.Net, EDRWeb, SyNCH) o Sound knowledge and experience of data management and statistical analysis software (e.g. SPSS, STATA). o Training/ Facilitation experience on M&E related aspects. o MER Framework development. o Must be willing to travel at short notice. o Ability to handle a varied, busy, and pressurized workload. o Organized, thorough, attention to detail, quality, and accurate approach to work. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills. o Above average computer skills, particularly in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word, and demonstrated ability to use other data analysis packages. o Valid driver's license and willingness to travel. o Available to commence work immediately.
