National Sales Manager - Agriculture

  • A wellestablished agricultural group requires the above to drive and manage a team of people within the agricultural industry in order for them to achieve and improve upon the annual agreed sales turnover of the company ensuring that maximum profit is achieved.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • An agricultural or related qual or a commercial related qual with a BASOS and or AVCASA or related would be preferred for this role.
  • Previous sales management experience is preferred for the role but the company is happy to consider someone who has had extensive senior key account management experience within the agricultural markets for this role.
  • Must be able to astute with sound forecasting and budgeting knowledge and experience.
  • Previous sales experience having sold agricultural products within the agriculture industry is essential.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively on all levels of the industry.
  • Ability to achieve objectives through consultation and negotiation as well as having good human relation skills.
  • Driving and managing a team of people within the agricultural industry in order for them to achieve and improve on KPI's set by the company.
  • Overseeing key accounts alongside the sales team ensuring that a targeted and focused sales strategy is implemented.
  • Developing and driving key account management for identified customers, analysing clientrelated information and developing strategies to preserve the customercompany relationship.
  • Setting objectives and strategies to ensure key clients receive consistent service and attention.
  • Managing and maintaining continuous growth of local and Southern African markets in agreement with company strategies.
  • Overseeing and driving to achieve specific sales, market share and profit margins.
  • Managing the divisional contribution through better cost management and the maximisation of both volumes and margins.
  • Developing and implementing national marketing strategies.
  • Implementing and controlling marketing activities and sales strategy.
  • Training, coaching and mentoring the sales and marketing team.
  • Managing research and development initiatives within the department.
  • Compiling sales budgets and forecasting for the department.
