Mid-Level Merchandising Associate

This position reports to the Marketplace Manager of Mr D.

Purpose of Role

Assist the marketplace merchandising team in effectively executing the Mr D merchandising strategy. Analyse merchandising performance, identify opportunities, and provide feedback to the marketplace team.

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of what drives orders and work with the marketplace and marketing teams to craft merchandising and promotions accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate and timely merchandising and promotional elements.
  • Report on the performance of merchandising and promotional activities.
  • Coordinate with the Mr D sales team for promotions and merchandising execution.
  • Identify supply shortcomings in merchandising and promotions across Mr D regions.
  • Set up, monitor restaurant promotions, and manage partner collections using the Mr D system tools.
  • Collaborate with the data management team for menu specials.
  • Administer promotional and merchandising activities, liaising with suppliers and agencies when necessary.

Skills & Attributes required:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to present ideas clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Interest in data and its role in informing strategies.
  • Working knowledge of Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification beneficial.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in an Ecommerce Marketplace Environment/Online B2B.
