Job overview:


Manage all pre-sale customer interactions, to ensure the highest level of quality service is delivered consistently - to ultimately achieve increased revenue through sales.

Achieve budgeted revenue targets. Support post-sales and sales administrative staff as required.

Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to enhance customer service, increase sales and efficiency, and the overall profitability of the business.

Responsibilities**:
  • Reports to and acts under the direction of Head of Business Development and accepts limited functional direction from the Sales Managers. All other decisions must be in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, and those of the company's customers
  • Manage presales customer interactions
  • Increase revenue through sales by analysing the territory/market's potential, prospecting and cold calling
  • Achieve budgeted revenue targets by identifying and accessing customer needs, creating solutions and ensuring a smooth sales process
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to enhance customer service, increase sales and efficiency, and the overall profitability of the business

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Grade 12 qualification
  • 35 Years' experience in a similar sales role in the electronic manufacturing industry
  • Relevant qualification in Sales/Administration would be advantageous
  • Track record of success in customer liaison
  • Demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills
  • Track record of success in B2B sales, and revenue achievement
  • Proven customer relationship management skills
  • Excellent written and spoken skills in English
  • Thorough understanding of sales processes
  • Good commercial acumen
  • Demonstrated organisational and administrative ability
  • Understanding of CRM and ERP systems
  • Proven skills in data research and analytics
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite
  • Own a reliable vehicle with a valid unendorsed driver's license
  • Willingness to undertake domestic travel, as required
