Job Description:

We are looking for an individual with experience in REDCap design, MS Access and data quality control to join a team working on a range of clinical research projects.

The daily activities of this post will be mainly based at the clinical research site in site B, Khayelitsha.(ads1)

Job Responsibilities:
Design of REDCap data entry and validation systemsOversight of clinic hardware and softwarePerform data capture if required as backup to data teamTrain data capture clerks in requirements of data entry systems to ensure accuracy and efficiencySupervise and coordinate data capture activities of data clerks within tight deadlinesLiaise with clinical and laboratory staff, data managers of collaborators to resolve all data omissions, anomalies and queriesQuery resolution and error correction as sent by monitoring bodies and/or researchersContinually monitor data accuracy as per study quality management guidelinesMonitor data quality and accuracy in REDCap, MS Access and web-based customised databases and instigate data cleaning processes as required

Job Requirements:
Decision-making and problem-solving skillsGood interpersonal and communication skillsValid work permit if not South AfricanUnderstanding of and experience with web-based databases, particularly REDCapTertiary qualification in data management (or studying towards one)2 years in data management, data capture supervision, data validation and data quality control1-2 years experience in REDCap design1-2 years experience in MS Access databases and MS ExcelCommitted, disciplined, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
