Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a Director of Finance

Location:
Cape Town, South Africa

Salary:
Dependent on Experience (DEO), ranging between R80,000 - R100,000

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial activities of the organization, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Manage daytoday accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management, shareholders, and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Analyze financial data and provide strategic insights to support decisionmaking processes.
  • Collaborate with department heads to optimize financial performance and achieve operational goals.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including revenue management, cost control, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Detailoriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
