Key Responsibilities:

Leadership

  • Lead and develop the finance and risk team to ensure excellence within the team
  • Collaborate with the CEO and other senior leaders in the organisation to develop, drive and refine the company strategy, including the presentation of this strategy to the Board of Directors
  • Engage with the Reach Board of Directors and its Finance Committee to enable them to fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities effectively
  • Work with the organisation's senior leadership team to develop and implement policies and procedures, short and longterm goals, objectives, and plans that align with and enable the overall company strategy
  • Challenge the status quo with ideas to drive internal efficiencies and sustainable fundraising based upon solid data analysis and promote continuous learning and improvement
  • Monitor industry activity and stay updated on the latest industry trends, including the relevant software and practices to be used for financial, compliance, and governance purposes
  • Represent the company to financial partners, including financial institutions, funders and auditors, and provide financial thought leadership which builds the organisation's profile externally
  • Provide strategic pricing and business model direction Reach Digital Health and its subsidiaries to work towards financial sustainability.
Financial, Compliance and Risk Management

  • Overall responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financialrelated activities across multiple multinational entities
  • Contract and liaise with external service providers for tax preparation, auditing and other financial needs as necessary
  • Monitor the daytoday financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions, regularly identifying areas for potential improvement
  • Develop/implement tools, systems and processes that meet the needs of the organisation (current and future) and which provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO and Board of Directors
  • Manage cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism with a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs. Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
  • Review, monitor and manage operational budgets and longterm financial forecasts for the business
  • Develop and utilise forwardlooking, predictive models and activitybased financial analyses to provide insight into the organisation's operations, business plans and forecasts
  • Develop accurate costing models with the Directors of Implementation and Partnerships & Growth, and ensure that these are successfully implemented within our operational management system.
  • Support the Director of Partnerships & Growth in prioritising strategic global expansion with a focus on key target markets
  • Direct and oversee the intergroup billing and transfers
  • Ensure regular financial scenario and risk management is identified and mitigated for
  • Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for shareholders and funders, foundations, and Reach Digital Health's board of directors
  • Oversee the production of accurate financial statements, ensuring that all financial data adheres to the relevant tax laws and regulations in the different countries we operate in
  • Review financial data and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports, as well as preparing financial statements for partners and funders
  • Coordinate the proper and timeous filing of tax returns, PAYE and VAT returns, company secretarial returns, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions in all countries where Reach operates
  • Ensure the company meets the necessary financial regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with the Head of Legal to ensure that the company adheres to best practice in financial data collection, storage and destruction (that accords with the provisions of POPIA and where necessary other data protection legislation).
