Execute activities related to the allocation of banks and journal postings allocation of funds, as well as credit vetting in accordance with credit policy and FICA requirements.


REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING**- Grade 12

REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years accounts receivable and credit vetting experience
  • Bank and Cashbook allocation experience is essential
  • SAP experience will be advantageous.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of debtors' accounts
  • Ensure accurate and timeous allocation and clearing of debtor payments/accounts on a daily basis
  • Report system errors to IT and inform the credit control manager of errors
  • Prepare monthly reporting on allocations and reconciliation of unidentified receipts (UFO) on bank GL
  • Liaise with the bank reconciliations team regarding allocations and submit the monthly bank reconciliation report
  • Process COD accounts, and clear payments, journals, and credits
  • Build and maintain good customer relationships, attend to and resolve customer queries related to the allocation of payments and provide feedback to customer
  • Maintain files for safe record keeping and store/save documentation and posting on the electronic share drive
  • Assist/guide customers on the use of the eAccounts system

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ COMPETENCIES

  • Knowledge of FICA
  • Knowledge of credit and accounting principles
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Intermediate Excel competency level 7/10 or higher
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
