Investment Administrator Intern

Role Purpose
Provide portfolio administration support to the Investment Administration Team.
Requirements:
At least 1-2 years administrative experience preferably in the investment industry
Relevant Business Degree (BCom, Investment Management, Finance, etc.)
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the accuracy of bank, portfolio, and scrip reconciliations.
- Provide support and assist with any other operational processes to give the team more time to engage with stakeholders and meet their daily, monthly and quarterly deadlines.
- Play a support role to the Investment Administration Manager in order to ensure operational efficiency.
- Assist with documentation of processes and procedures for the Administration team.
- Assist and participate in internal improvement initiatives within the Investment Administration team to ensure continuous business improvement.
- Build and maintain relationships with other Institutional Operations teams.
- Assist with ad hoc and audit queries.
Competencies
- Good understanding of Excel and a basic understanding of unit trusts and investments.
- Accuracy and attention to detail is crucial.
- Analytical thinker who can work well under pressure.
- Deadline driven and good time management skills.
- Selfstarter and collaborative team player
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Use initiative, be proactive with problem solving abilities.
