Ogilvy Cape Town is seeking a talented and dynamic Mid-Level Art Director to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling and a proven track record in creating compelling and innovative advertising campaigns across various platforms. You will work collaboratively with copywriters, designers, and other team members to bring creative concepts to life, ensuring they meet the high standards and objectives of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

· Creative Development: Conceptualize and execute creative ideas that align with client briefs and brand strategies.

· Visual Storytelling: Develop visually compelling and impactful designs for a variety of media, including print, digital, social media, TV, and out-of-home.

· Collaboration: Work closely with copywriters, designers, and other team members to create cohesive and engaging campaigns.

· Client Interaction: Present creative concepts to clients and incorporate feedback to refine and improve the final product.

· Brand Adherence: Ensure all creative work adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent visual identity.

· Trend Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the team.

· Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and work is of the highest quality.

Qualifications:

· Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an Art Director in an advertising agency or related environment.

· Education: Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Advertising, or a related field.

· Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of work across different media, demonstrating creative flair and strategic thinking.

· Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design tools. Knowledge of video editing software is a plus.

· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate creative ideas and concepts.

· Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.

· Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively under pressure.

· Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
