A fabulous hybrid job opportunity has opened up for a Mid-Senior Group Head Art Director at a Through-the-Line/Experiential creative agency in Cape Town.

The agency is part of a renowned global Group and boasts an integrated, full-service offering.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collectively with the Creative Director to lead the creative department to deliver the best work for clients
  • Lead the creative department by inspiring and mentoring
  • Conduct internal creative reviews with the studio & also present and sell big creative concepts to clients
  • Balance your own workload of producing actual work conceptual, roll out & design in between driving the art & design direction for the company
  • Participate and add constructive advice in reviews
  • Creative collaboration with all departments
  • Always representing the company as the Creative Custodian
  • Checkins with Designers.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Visual Communications Degree/Diploma from a reputable institution
  • Strategic understanding. Understands the client's business, their brands, and their challenges so that you can deliver a creative business solution based off a good strategy
  • Inspirational guide. Drives creative thinking amongst the studio & cultivates creative solutions from concept to reality through inspiration
  • Collaborative leader. Can give clear direction to creatives when ideas need refinement and work with other departments to drive the best solutions
  • Team Player. You embody a team player jet empower the creative studio to think selfsufficiently and responsibly as a collaboration
  • Great communicator. You can clearly and easily explain creative output in terms of what informed a certain creative direction to both the company and its clients
  • Platform Guru. You constantly look for creative solutions across all platforms and mediums delivery great work
  • Strong production understanding: You understand production and can guide and steer the creatives in timelines and budgets with production in mind over and above delivering beautiful work for clients
