Job Summary:


As the Reservations and Functions Coordinator at Sweet Heart of The Rodeo you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurants' reservation systems and the success of private events and functions.

You will be responsible for managing reservations, coordinating private events, and optimizing table turnover to maximize revenue while providing outstanding customer service.


Key Responsibilities:

Reservation Management:

  • Maintain an accurate and uptodate reservations system.
  • Strategically allocate tables to optimise restaurant capacity and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist guests with special requests, dietary restrictions, and preferences to ensure a memorable dining experience.

Private Event Coordination:

  • Collaborate with event planners and clients to organize private functions, parties, and special events.
  • Customise menus, room setups, and event details to meet client needs.
  • Oversee the seamless execution of private events, ensuring they meet or exceed expectations.
  • Provide onsite support during key events to address any issues and ensure client satisfaction.

Guest Relations:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, regular patrons, and event clients.
  • Address guest feedback and complaints promptly and professionally, seeking resolution when necessary.
  • Act as a liaison between the restaurant staff and guests to ensure smooth communication.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of reservationists and event staff.
  • Set performance expectations, provide ongoing coaching, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages teamwork and excellence.

Revenue Optimisation:

  • Monitor and analyse reservation trends, adjusting staffing levels and table allocations as needed.
  • Implement strategies to increase table turnover and maximise revenue while maintaining service quality.
  • Work with the marketing team to promote special events and private dining options.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant industry experience.
  • Proven experience in restaurant reservation management and event coordination.
  • Strong administrative, organisational and timemanagement skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reservation management software
  • Leadership and team management experience is a plus.
