PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE

Seeking an experienced and dynamic candidate for the role, who can take charge, work efficiently under pressure, show initiative, and engage with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will lead diverse teams to achieve project goals and play a vital role in expanding and improving the Akhile brand.

The selected candidate will report to a dedicated director, gaining hands-on experience, learning, and advancing within the organization and the industry.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • New Business Development and Marketing.
  • Project Delivery and Support.
  • Stakeholder Liaison.
  • Team Management and Development.
  • Project and Risk Management.
  • Specific project responsibilities include work in the public sector covering various areas such as:

Asset Management;
Municipal Budget Preparation and Long-Term Financial Planning;
Financial Management, Accounting and Reporting;
Revenue and Expenditure Management;
Municipal Supply Chain Management;
GRAP Implementation and Preparation of the Annual Financial Statements;
mSCOA Implementation and Management; and
General MFMA Implementation and Compliance.

Management Committee (MANCO) Member: Contribute to shaping organizational strategies and operational decisions to ensure alignment with goals.

Prior experience or interest in digital transformation, process automation, and system development is beneficial as the chosen candidate will collaborate closely with the internal software development team on:

Business Analysis and Process Improvement. Evaluating business change needs, documenting findings, and testing developments in an Agile Environment for effective solutions and bug-free outcomes.

Internally Developed Solutions Product Owner: Direct the management of innovative products and tools, establish roadmaps, and prioritize feature development to enhance consulting services and tackle government challenges.

Advisory and Digital Transformation: Provide expertise to streamline financial processes using digital tools, pinpoint opportunities for operational enhancement, and improved capabilities.

Any other pertinent duties as required.

  • Capable of working effectively under pressure to meet deadlines without compromising quality;
  • Exceptional command of spoken and written English;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams); and
  • Proactive in identifying and communicating bottlenecks or delays along with their solutions in advance.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • The ideal candidate should possess the following:
  • Honors degree in Finance or Accounting (NQF 8)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a finance or similar role.
  • Understanding and experience in the Public Sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
