The purpose of this position is to provide administrative and other support to Legal Counsellors at branch level and to assist clients with legal advice and paralegal solutions to common problems, within the Company's set parameters and Membership Agreement.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Consulting with Members:
Attending to clients and providing legal advice and assistance
File Management:
Ensuring that all case files are maintained and regularly updated
Correspondence Management :
Despatch incoming and outgoing correspondence for legal counsellors
General Administration:
Attend to general administrative tasks associated with legal matters
Providing Feedback to clients:
Ensuring that clients receive regular updates and feedback
MINIMUM CRITERIA AND PRE-REQUISITE COMPETENCIES
Education:
Matric and National Cert/Diploma in Paralegal Studies
Experience:
At least 1year experience in a legal environment
