Job Summary:


The Print Production Stock Controller is responsible for managing the inventory and stock levels of materials used in print production.

They work closely with the production team to ensure that materials are ordered and delivered on time and in the correct quantities.

The role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records of all print production materials, including paper, ink, toner, and other supplies.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder materials as needed to ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Work closely with the production team to identify materials needed for upcoming projects and ensure that they are ordered and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure that materials are delivered on time and in the correct quantities.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies in stock levels.
  • Monitor and manage waste and spoilage of materials, ensuring that excess stock is minimized.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings by suggesting alternative materials & offcuts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards for all materials used in production.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and accounting, to ensure that inventory and purchasing processes are streamlined and efficient.
  • Maintain a clean and organized stock area, ensuring that materials are stored in the appropriate locations and that all inventory is properly labelled and identified.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of inventory management software and tools preferred
  • Familiarity with safety and quality standards for print production materials
  • Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills

Physical Requirements:

This job may require standing, walking, and lifting.

The stock area may also be in an area with exposure to chemicals or other hazards, requiring the use of protective equipment.
