Job Advert Summary:

This position oversees Investor Relations, Corporate Profiling and New Business Development on behalf of the company.

The Executive:

Investor Relations and New Business Development will manage media relations, the brand integrity, communication initiatives as well as the internal and external reputation of the company and the Executive Chairman.


Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (a postgraduate degree is an advantage).
  • Experience in defining, developing, implementing and executing strategy and business imperatives.
  • Establish, maintain and nurture existing and new investor relationships.
  • At least 10 years' mining specific or investor relations experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of capital markets, as well as a thorough understanding of key metrics for companies in the industry.
  • Familiar with the techniques and methods of financial modelling and valuation employed by analysts and investors.
  • Proven ability to operate successfully in a highly matrixed mining organisation with different perspectives.
  • Must have strong collaboration skills and ability to partner at multiple levels of the organisation and a proven ability to influence senior executives and the board.
  • Experience in ensuring legal compliance on regulatory matters.
  • Proven track record developing and executing complex campaign strategies.
  • Expertise in writing, editing and developing investor relations, public relations and stakeholder communications messages.
  • Experience in the mining sector.
  • People and departmental financial management

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Investor Relations:
  • Develop investor confidence in the company's performance and plans for delivering shareholder value.
  • Develop and drive the implementation of a robust investor relations strategy and framework.
  • Create and manage a strong company reputation by demonstrating consistent and clear communications
between internal and external stakeholders.

  • Manage equity research and investor relationships.
  • Provide insights on relevant market trends and present them to the leadership team (including the board of
directors).

  • Analyse and present peer trends, shareholder matters and anything else that could impact the business.
  • Oversee and manage operational and financial results presentations, roadshows (meetings and conference
calls).

  • Work with the company secretary, the legal team and sponsors to ensure compliance on regulatory
matters.

  • Prepare the company's Integrated Annual Report (IAR) and coordinate the preparation of the
accompanying reports which include but are not limited the annual financial statements (AFS), the

environmental, social and governance (ESG) report, the climate change and water (CCW) report and the

mineral resources and reserves (MMR) report.

  • Be the ultimate custodian of the financial modelling for the company
  • Manage the investor relations and media budget.
  • New Business Development:
  • Provide input into the financial and strategic assessment of potential acquisitions and / disposals for the company
  • Research and provide input to the leadership team and the board on commodity price fundamentals and
outlook for all company existing commodities and commodities of interest.

  • Corporate Profiling
  • Carefully manage all media enquiries and company responses.
  • Serve as an advocate for the company; deal with press releases, social media interactions and play an active role
as a spokesperson for the company

  • Media monitoring for all media mentions.
  • Support the Group CEO, Chief Executives and Executive Chairman as required.
  • Participate and give input in the various management structures within the company, including but not limited to the board of


directors (and its sub-committees), executive committee, steering committee and other relevant management committees and the associated joint venture committees as required.
