Responsibilities

  • Design compensation and benefits packages.
  • Implement performance review procedures.
  • Develop fair HR policies and ensure employees understand and comply with them.
  • Implement effective sourcing, screening and interviewing techniques.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with recruitment agencies and other talent sources.
  • Assess training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives for all employees.
  • Monitor HR department's budget.
  • Act as the point of contact regarding labour legislation issues.
  • Company representative at CCMA and or Bargaining Councils
  • Work with Unions to resolve employee related matters
  • Manage employees' grievances.
  • Manage/Review current HR technology.
  • Measure employee retention and turnover rates.
  • Oversee daily operations of the HR department.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as an HR Executive, HR Manager or similar role
  • Familiarity with Human Resources and Industrial Relations Management Systems and Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Experience with full cycle recruiting
  • Good knowledge of labour legislation (particularly employment contracts, employee leaves and insurance, Basic Conditions of Employment)
  • Experience in submission of Employment Equity reports and WSP and ATR annually
  • Experience in B_BBEE will be an added advantage
  • Demonstrable leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or relevant field
