Quick Project Management Services requires the service of Precinct Managers in Atlantis on a fixed-term basis to manage the day-to-day activities within the Precinct and implement the Precinct's Strategy and Management Plan.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the day to day activities within the Precinct and implement the Precinct's Strategy and Management Plan, by:

  • Manage and monitor community ambassadors deployed by Urban Regeneration
  • Work closely with the Sub council manager (regular and healthy communication and cooperation)
  • Monitor & hands on involvement of area cleaning activities
  • Monitor and coordinate day to day service delivery activities of line departments (address shortcomings)
  • Report noncompliance issues within the Precinct
  • Liaise with all City appointed service providers / City line departments that provide services which are related to the safety, cleanliness and general maintenance of the precinct.
  • Resolve routine complaints and report complex complaints to the Precinct Project Team / ACT
  • Meet with City line departments to negotiate improvements to services being delivered at the precinct level.
  • Arrange and attend meetings with stakeholders within the precinct on fortnightly basis (precinct management working group meetings)
  • Monitor activities of informal traders and ensure orderly trading practices are maintained at all times.
  • Conduct visits to formal and informal businesses and retailers.
  • Attend and conduct site visits on a daily basis.
  • Attend to complaints and queries timeously and report outcome to the Precinct Project Team and Sub council Manager
  • Establish, maintain and support relationships with and between exiting stakeholders.
  • Conduct surveys (cleaning, defects, business/stakeholder satisfaction/opinion etc.)
  • Identify problems and provide/suggest possible solutions in relation to urban /precinct management matters to the Precinct Project Team
  • Compile and submit a Monthly report to the Precinct Management Team and Sub council ACT.
  • Provide a holistic and integrated approach to resource allocation, implementation, including oversight of all activities, services and projects occurring within the precincts.

  • Hands on, Excellent problemsolving skills, Good interpersonal skill, relationship building and must be able to manage conflict resolution.
  • Project Management skills, Excellent Communication and Report Writing skills
  • Ability to work in a team as well as performing independently, Innovative and must be able to show and take initiative
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to operate with high degree of flexibility with regards to community dynamics.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in community development
  • Knowledge of local area and dynamics, advantages
  • Relevant Bachelor Degree or Diploma or higher certificate will be advantageous
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Precinct / Facility / Project Management fields.
  • Must have driver's licence and own vehicle
