A leading and reputable chemical manufacturing factory based in Kempton Park has a challenging but exciting position for a suitably qualified
Payroll Administrator.
Purpose of the job
The Payroll Administrator reports to the Payroll Manager and is mainly responsible for:
- The administration of the company's monthly Payroll, ESS system (overtime, claims and leave) and salaries cashbook
- Ensuring that the earnings and deductions input captured in respect of payroll input is valid, accurate and complete.
- Assisting payroll manager with monthly payroll preparations, reconciliations and payments
- Ensuring that queries regarding overtime, leave and any other payroll related are identified and resolved within payroll deadlines
- Providing support to the Finance department
Experience
- 35 years' experience in Payroll Administration
- 35 years' experience supporting finance and accounting
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 with Math's or accountingEssential.
- Certificate in Payroll Administration and Accounting-Desirable
Technical Competencies
- Knowledge of Basic Conditions of Employment Act
- Knowledge of the Labour Relations Act
- Knowledge of relevant Tax legislations
- Knowledge of payroll best practices
- Knowledge of accounting
- Computer literacy in MS Office (Word. Excel, Outlook)
- SAP knowledge
- Sage people payroll
- Sage ESS

Key performance area
1. To ensure that the earnings and deductions input captured in respect of payroll input is captured, accurate and complete
2. To ensure that payroll input captured in respect of all earnings and deductions is valid, accurate and complete
3. To assist the payroll manager with monthly payroll preparations, reconciliations and payments
4. To provide support to the payroll manager
5. To provide support to the finance department
6. To ensure that payroll records are updated and maintained timeously and accurately
7. To ensure that all payroll related payments are paid on time and required documents are sent to third parties
Personal Circumstances:
- Must be able to obtain a satisfactory medical report from the companies' medical centre.

Salary:
R300K basic per annum but highly negotiable depending on experience.
